NBC promo keeling me

I passed on Reggie Bush.

That's right, even with the nice point considerations for catchers of aerial, spiraling pigskins, I let Bush slide by. I took the "sure" thing, Shaun Alexander. I can't even remember the last time I took a prime RB in the first round before. Sure, what I had was a measley seventh-round pick. But I was completely convinced that I needed a back who will get carries.

Such a chicken.

Not only do I regret not taking Bush, but I completely disregarded a Top 3 (normally) guy, Peyton Manning. I was so absorbed with getting a prime quality RB — they're harder to find than any other position — that Manning never entered the equation. So what does NBC do? NBC torments me with the constant commercials of Bush and Manning to hype up today's game between the Saints and Colts.

Like a masochist, I will indulge. I'll watch the first quarter, go pick up my nephew from school, and then watch some more. I'll even DVR the game. I love good football, and though Bush and Manning aren't on my team (or any of my three teams), I can barely wait for some good NFL action.

Anyone wanna trade?
